Aaron Cass is a Firefighter/Paramedic at the Los Angeles County Fire Department who has served a total of 16 years as a sworn firefighter. Prior to his position at LACoFD, FF-P Cass served as a FF-P and Captain in the Vernon Fire Department for 12 years until Vernon FD was absorbed by LACoFD in 2021. Aaron is the lead paramedic for LACoFD’s Advanced provider Response Unit program. He is also a US&R rescue specialist, a Hazmat specialist, and is trained in swiftwater rescue swiftwater helicopter rescue operations. Prior to his career in the fire service, Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years.
