Crystal Pichon is a life-long resident of Louisiana, born in Slidell, LA. She is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Health Education and Promotion, holds a Master of Non-Profit Administration from LSU-Shreveport, and serves as the co-founder of The Safety Place. Ms. Pichon has been involved in nonprofit leadership, safety and injury prevention for nearly 20 years, and decided to take on a new challenge within the fire protection world in June of 2023 when she joined the St. George Fire Protection District team full time.
Ms. Pichon serves as The Director of Community Relations for St. George Fire Protection District in St. George, LA. In her role, she focuses on building and maintaining positive relationships; developing and implementing risk reduction programs; offering community services and resources; educating and engaging the community and developing a state-of-the-art education & injury prevention center.
Her inspiration comes from the children she sees and hears each day. In addition to her fire protection career, and leading her own nonprofit, she serves on other nonprofit boards to love and serve her community bigger & better. When Crystal is not officially working, she can be found sweating un the sauna, biking, roller skating, enjoying the beach, talking about the beach, and planning to go to the beach. She’s forever HGTV’ing around the house, is a plant mom, and Food Networking on Sundays.
