Location: Cira C
The Community Risk Reduction landscape is teeming with catchphrases. Community Risk Assessment! Integrated Risk Management! The 5 E’s! These phrases might be common lingo in CRR communications but multiple interpretations and applications exist. While CRR is at the heart of proactive community safety, evolving terminology and diverse organizational approaches can create confusion. As the CRR field is growing, there is value in bringing clarity and consistency to the conversation. This collaborative panel discussion will bring together leaders from national organizations such as NFPA, USFA, IAFC, and NASFM to help attendees unpack CRR's key terms and methodologies. Representatives will highlight the unique contributions each organization makes to support those deploying the CRR process and illuminate how the work being done act as puzzle pieces that, collectively, result in an impactful whole. Attendees will hear from CRR thought leaders about the ways in which their agencies apply the framework to create cohesive, data-driven risk reduction strategies. This interactive session will encourage dialogue on overcoming terminology challenges and ensuring that the broader CRR community is working toward shared goals. Join us to explore how our collective impact can grow when we speak the same language and work toward common objectives.
